Community

Community spaces for UpdateTinus are coming soon; join early by email and help shape them.

Last updated

UpdateTinus is about celebrating what you ship, and we think that works best with a friendly community of people who care about product communication. We have not opened a forum or official social channels yet. They are coming soon, and early-access members will be the first to hear about them.

Join now by email

The simplest way to get involved today is to email [email protected] with a short introduction: who you are, what you build and how you share updates with your users. You can also use the early-access form on this site, which opens your email app with a pre-filled message. We will invite you to community spaces as soon as they open.

What we are planning

  • A community forum for sharing release notes, changelog tips and feedback on the product;
  • Social channels for announcements and showing off great release notes;
  • Public feedback and roadmap boards, built with UpdateTinus itself, where you can vote and comment on what we build next;
  • Occasional office hours with the team once the product is live.

We will not announce a channel until it is actually open, and we will list official links here so you can tell genuine spaces from impersonators.

Planned community guidelines

Our guidelines are still a draft, but these principles will guide them:

  1. Be kind. Critique ideas, not people. Harassment, discrimination and personal attacks are not welcome.
  2. Be helpful. Share what you have learned, link to sources and assume good intent.
  3. Keep it on topic. Release notes, changelogs, product feedback and shipping culture are all fair game.
  4. No spam. Light, relevant self-promotion is fine; repeated advertising is not.
  5. Respect privacy. Do not post other people's personal information or private conversations.
  6. Report security issues privately to [email protected] rather than in public threads.

Moderators will be able to remove content and, when needed, members who repeatedly break the guidelines. We will publish the final guidelines alongside the first community space.

Have an idea for how the community should work? Tell us. We would love to build it together.
