Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were left open-mouthed on This Morning on Monday as an artist revealed a sculpture of them that looked ‘nothing like’ the hosts.
Viewers of the long-running ITV daytime show tuned in as it was revealed how the artist had painstakingly worked on the creation.
Based in Weymouth, Dorset, the sculptor had attempted to carve the hosts with 30 tonnes of sand – and the finished product was unveiled live on air.
Former Coronation Street star Colson Smith hosted the segment and sat beside the life-size versions of the pair on a sofa.
However, as Cat and Ben feasted their eyes on their figurines, they were left visibly open-mouthed.
They attempted to distract from their initial reactions by making playful remarks and dropping digs at each other.

‘That’s a look that I’ve seen regularly from you Deeley,’ quipped Ben.
Cat added: ‘I like the artistic interpretation there I think.’
The 48-year-old teased Ben on the size of his ears as Colson remarked the hunky host, 50, was looking ‘buff’.
This Morning viewers flooded social media with comments as they declared it looked ‘nothing like’ the two hosts.
One fan didn’t mince their words, asking: ‘Who the f**k are they?’
A second joked: ‘The resemblance really is uncanny.’
‘Sand sculpting is very clever but that looked nothing like Ben & Cat,’ said a third viewer.
A fourth fumed: ‘Well, why didn’t we see a real sand sculpture being made with tips how we could do it? What a waste of time watching Colston make a bloody sandcastle.’

Half of them took place in non-clinical settings and half required some kind of medical assistance afterwards, the shocking findings revealed.
