A second teenager has died following a fall on a popular hiking track in Queensland.
Jack Thatcher, 18, died three days after he and another 18-year-old, identified only as Lorielle Georgina, fell on Mt Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
The pair were part of a group of young people hiking on the summit track when they are believed to have plunged between 50m and 100m.
Lorielle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other hikers required assistance but were able to make their way safely from the mountain and did not require medical treatment.
Thatcher was winched from the mountainside before being airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, where he was placed on life support.

A fundraiser for his family had earlier confirmed he was “on life support in a very critical condition”.
“Jack was injured while simply enjoying his life in the great outdoors with his friends,” the GoFundMe reads.
“If you can please help this beautiful family with any amount of contribution, it will help to ease some of the extra burden on the family during this terrible and horrific time.
“All funds raised will be provided to the family of Jack Thatcher to assist with all of their seen and unseen expenses as required.”
Community members have also launched a fundraiser to support the family of the young woman who lost her life.
Lorielle Georgina, leaves behind a twin sister, with organisers saying “no words can describe the loss of a loved one.”

The popular summit route had been closed prior to the incident, with warnings issued not to use it.
Police said light rain had made the terrain “extremely slippery”.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
