A motorcyclist killed in a horror multi-vehicle crash on a notorious mountain road has been remembered as a beloved husband and father.
He has now been identified as Grant Northey, 52, who died in the collision on Tamborine Mountain Rd in the Scenic Rim, Queensland, about 10.40am on Sunday.
He was one of six people injured in a collision involving two cars and a motorcycle.
Initial investigations indicate a white 2005 Subaru Liberty travelling south collided with a grey BMW motorcycle and a grey Nissan X-Trail travelling north.
Northey suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he later died.

A fundraiser set up to help pay for funeral costs described Northey as the “pillar” of his family.
“On Sunday April 12th we lost one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.,” GoFundMe organiser and Northey’s colleague Craig Roberts wrote.
“Grant Northey went out for a quick motorbike ride and coffee with a friend and never came home.
“He was hit by a car on Mount Tamborine road, airlifted to hospital but passed away from his injuries shortly after.”
The fundraiser describes Northey as someone who loved being on the road but was most devoted to his wife Lara and daughters Amity and Jess.
“Grant lived life with a passion for the open road and an even greater passion for his family,” it reads.

In a personal note shared on social media, Roberts paid tribute to Northey.
“Hard to find a more passionate rider than Grant Northey. Great guy and an excellent engineer and colleague, life is so precious.
“Unbelievable loss. Thoughts go to Lara and the girls.”
Friends and fellow riders have remembered him as a kind, respected and much-loved figure, sharing memories of time spent together on the road.
Some spoke of the shock of his sudden death, with one saying there would be “endless reminders” of Northey on future riding adventures, while others described him as a “gentleman in every sense of the word” who would be deeply missed.
“Could not have met a genuinely nicer guy,” one wrote.

Police said several other people were seriously injured in the crash.
Three men in their 20s who were travelling in the Subaru were also injured, with one initially trapped and suffering facial injuries before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
One of the men suffered neck, chest, stomach and possible spinal injuries, while another sustained chest, abdominal and pelvic injuries, Queensland Ambulance Service said on Sunday.
A 72-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman travelling in the Nissan X-Trail were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The winding hinterland road, known for its narrow lanes, sharp bends and steep sections, was closed in both directions for most of Sunday as emergency crews responded.
Logan Forensic Crash Unit are continuing to investigate and have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.
