The search for a missing FIFO worker has ended in tragedy after the 25-year-old’s body was discovered 11 days after he vanished.
William ‘Bill’ Carter was dropped at Perth Airport around 12.40pm on December 6 to fly to Karratha for work but he never made his flight.
It was later revealed he took a taxi from the airport around 2.10pm and travelled to Trigg Beach.
Bill was last seen near a surf club on West Coast Drive about half an hour later.
On Tuesday, December 16, WA Police confirmed they had found a body believed to be Bill.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.

The parents of Bill’s partner Janae have since launched a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs.
“Bill was the partner of our daughter and a deeply valued part of our family and community,” the GoFundMe page read.
“His sudden passing has left an unimaginable void, and we are heartbroken by the loss. During this incredibly difficult time, our focus is on supporting our daughter and honouring Bill’s life, while navigating the emotional and financial strain that comes with laying a loved one to rest.
“Funeral expenses can be overwhelming, and any contribution—no matter how small—will go directly toward covering the costs of Bill’s funeral and memorial, allowing us to give him the farewell he deserves.”
