Coleen Nolan has been support by fans and co-stars after announcing a major family update on Loose Women.
The 60-year-old, from Blackpool, has joyously shared the “exciting” news that she’s set to become a grandmother for the third time. While appearing on Monday’s instalment of the ITV show, Ruth Langsford took a moment from her usual presenting role to allow the mum-of-three to deliver her delightful family announcement.
Ruth said: “Coleen has some very, very happy news for us. We like happy news as there’s a lot of bad news around at the moment.”
Coleen said: “It’s happy news for me, I don’t know if anybody else cares? My daughter Ciara is expecting, so it’ll be my third grandchild.”
She went on to explain: “We’ve known for ages but they like to keep it all secret. She’s 20 weeks now, she’ll be 21 weeks this week.”
Charlene White then asked: “So you know the sex?”
Coleen cheekily replied: “Yes, and I’m not telling you.”

When asked if Ciara has a bump, Coleen answered: “She has got a bump. But it’s taken 20 weeks. I kept coming over and she was still in six 8 jeans and I was saying ‘you’re not pregnant’.
“Then all of a sudden she could feel it kicking.”
Coleen also disclosed her intentions to create a special nursery in her home, providing a welcoming space for her trio of grandchildren when they visit. Reflecting on Ciara’s emotions during this period, Coleen conveyed: “She’s so excited. She’s really scared and she’s really worried.”

With two sons Shane and Jake, as well as Ciara as her daughter, Coleen’s family continues to grow. Her first grandson, Shane’s daughter Amelia, arrived in 2016, while Jake greeted his first son in November 2024.
Ciara, excited to step into motherhood with her fiance Max, took to Instagram to announce their joy. Alongside an image showing off her pregnancy, she playfully captioned: “One of me is cute but two tho? Baby Innes pending…”
Fans flocked to send their well-wishes in the comment section. One wrote : “Fabulous news. Congratulations to you all xx.”
Another replied: “Aww congratulations I bet your Mum is over the moon xxxx.”

Coleen’s Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford also added to the comments on Instagram, she said: “WONDERFUL! Congratulations!” Saira Khan wrote: “Wow!! Congratulations” with a red love heart emoji and former Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon added: “Oh huge congratulations.”

Coleen recently opened up about her own milestone as she turned 60 in March this year. The mum-of-three has recently split from her boyfriend, Michael Jones, and said she fears she might not find love again.
She said: “[I’m] turning 60 as a single woman and, while that’s right for me at this stage, I did have a moment this week of feeling a little sad that I might not get to love again.
“I love being in love and being loved, and I feel I still have a lot to give in that department.” Coleen met Michael on dating app Tinder and were in a relationship for three years.
