Alarm bells are starting to ring loudly for the Lakers after yet another loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Playoffs, prompting LeBron James to publicly speak out: “This happens all the time.”
Straight to the facts: the Los Angeles Lakers took the court at Target Center seeking a victory to even up their first-round series, and they dominated Game 4 against the Timberwolves to such an extent that even a legend like Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson acknowledged it.
“I feel bad because the Lakers lost this game after controlling most of the second half,” Magic Johnson posted on X, while LeBron James’ public accusation was already racking up thousands of views.

The Los Angeles Lakers were trailing by just one point with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter when Anthony Edwards drove toward the basket.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star came face-to-face with LeBron, and just as he was about to attempt the shot, James swatted the ball.
The referees initially ruled that possession would go to the California team after the ball went out of bounds, but head coach Chris Finch challenged the play.

After the referees overturned the original call and ruled a foul on LeBron James against Anthony Edwards, which ultimately led to the Lakers losing 113–116, James publicly claimed that the decision went against the Los Angeles team.
“That play happens all the time, you know? The hand is considered part of the ball — that’s what they say — and I feel like the hand was part of the ball,” said The King.
“I was able to get his hand on top of the ball, and the ball slid down and out. I’ve seen that play called differently so many times before, but it is what it is,” James concluded.
