Married At First Sight bride Ines Basic has revealed she was left with a partially collapsed face after a routine Botox treatment went horribly wrong.
In a candid Instagram Story video on Thursday, the OnlyFans creator, 35, explained that she used to get routine Botox jabs to relax her jaw muscles, which had become painful and bulky due to regular clenching and grinding of her teeth.
Unfortunately, one injection session ended in disaster after the Botox leaked into another muscle, causing her face to ‘collapse’ until it wore off four months later.
She has since stopped getting Botox altogether, and as a result her jaw muscles have become bulky again – prompting speculation among uninformed fans about the size of her face.
‘I’ve seen comments where people say I look like I’ve been stung by a bee,’ Ines began, before launching into an explanation of why she used to get Botox injected into her jaw muscles.
‘I was getting that for years, five years, and this one time this side the Botox leaked and went into another muscle, and my face collapsed. So it looked like I’d had a stroke for like, four months,’ the brunette explained.

‘So now I don’t even get Botox at all, because I’m so petrified from it. And that’s why my jaw looks a bit boxy… I don’t even have filler. You guys accused me that I’ve punched my face out with heaps of filler and Botox. Like look, none,’ she said, raising her eyebrows.
Ines went on to clarify that she may change her mind about getting injectable treatments in future, but for the moment she is enjoying seeing her face age naturally.
‘I’m not scared of some lines on my forehead. Like, I actually prefer my face moving, not being restricted,’ she said, adding: ‘This doesn’t make me any less attractive, nor does Botox make me any more attractive.’
Ines went on to admit she’s had a second accident Botox as well, but didn’t go into details.
‘I know it’s happened to so many people as well in the last few years… so I don’t know what it is in the industry. I think people are just rushing, because yeah, [it happens with] experienced injectors as well. Yeah, it’s very traumatising.’
Ines rose to fame on Married At First Sight in 2019.
She courted scandal while on the show thanks to her on-air ‘affair’ with groom Sam Ball, who was married to contestant Elizabeth Sobinoff on the show.
After forging a plan to leave the experiment and build a life together away from the cameras, Ines and Sam’s romance was exposed during the series’ third commitment ceremony.

Sam infamously ghosted Ines and the pair never spoke again.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia last month, Ines revealed that she was so badly trolled by viewers that Channel Nine had to hire private security to escort her to events after filming.
‘I was getting trolled so bad, and I was also getting really racist comments because I came here as a refugee,’ she said.
‘I got trolled so hard… I actually had a personal security guard.’
She added that she felt uncomfortable having to resort to the extra safety precautions.
‘I was like, “Oh my God, I have to have a security guard.” It was like really embarrassing,’ she said.
While Ines said that the scandal did not reflect who she is as a person, she admitted that she looks back on it with awkwardness.
‘I’m like, “Oh my God, this is like insane,” and coming from a more grounded, mature place that I’m in now, I look at it and I think, “This is so like immature and insane to watch.”‘
