ITV has agreed to let Gino D’Acampo return, but not without a catch! The beloved chef will make his comeback under one strict condition set by the network. Fans are eager to see him back on screen, but will he accept the terms?
A defiant Gino D’Acampo has broken his social media silence and returned to Instagram to promote his brand-new recipe book for Valentine’s Day amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
The celebrity chef, 48, defiantly promoted his new recipe book in the video post as he told his followers that he was going to make honey-glazed cod with lemon and garlic. Gino then took his followers on a step-by-step journey of how to make the delicious meal before showing off a glimpse of his home life with his adorable dog.

The This Morning regular captioned his post: “Perfect recipe for Valentine’s Day… Super Easy and Super Tasty.” It comes after insiders have claimed that ITV bosses were aware of complaints made against the celebrity chef as recently as 2023, with Gino now under investigation after being accused of inappropriate behaviour dating back over 12 years, and ITV News revealing that over 40 people had been spoken to regarding his alleged wrongdoing.
Gino also appears to have been erased from the broadcaster’s scheduling. This weekend, the ITV dropped two rerun episodes of Gino’s Italy: Secrets of the South from its schedule. They were expected to air between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday on ITVBe, but Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes was shown instead.
The celebrity chef has “firmly denied” the allegations against him, which describe his behaviour as “unacceptable”, “distressing” and “horrendous” – and seems unwilling to return to the ITV whether they’d have him or not.
A source has claimed the star “instructed his legal team to fight against the allegations with ‘whatever it takes’ so that he can ‘clear his name.” He also reportedly insisted to his pals that “he is innocent” and thinks he can “continue to have a career” in the future. The source added to MailOnline that Gino has vowed to “never work with ITV again.”

Gino told ITV News that the accusations made against him weren’t true and that ‘it is simply not in his nature’. He said: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.
“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.

“I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
The TV chef is known for his appearances on This Morning, Family Fortunes and Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, the series he presented with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix. Most recently, he appeared alongside Fred in the 2024 series Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible.
