The playful moment between the two high-profile executives, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, has since taken over social media.
Since the Andy Byron-Kristin Cabot saga, which is now dubbed “Coldplaygate,” social media has been flooded with posts about the two, including tweets with fake claims. One such morphed statement, linked to the $1.3 billion tech firm Astronomer, was posted on X.

Who is Andy Byron?
Andy Bryon is the CEO of Astronomer. Before assuming this position at the $1.3 billion company, he held various leadership roles at other tech firms. However, according to a report by the New York Post, former employees of Byron, amid the cheating scandal, have accused him of being a “toxic boss.”
One of his former colleagues told the outlet, “The text groups and chains of former employees are like…everybody’s laughing their ass off and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed.”
He is married to Megan Kerrigan and the couple has two children.
Who is Kristin Cabot?
Kristin Cabot joined Astronomer as the Chief People Officer in 2024. In a post after her joining, she praised Byron and the company’s leadership team.
Byron praised Cabot as exceptional in a press release after her hiring. “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management… make her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”
Unverified reports claim that she was married to Kenneth Thornby, but the couple got divorced in 2022.
