Two divers have been found alive after spending 22 hours missing in the ocean off the coast of North Stradbroke Island this morning.
The divers, who have not yet been identified, are believed to have gone missing around 10am on Saturday after they failed to return from the water.
They were located at around 7.40am on Sunday by an Australian Maritime Safety Authority search and rescue jet and were hoisted into a helicopter.
It’s understood they were more than four kilometres offshore.
The duo were then taken to a park where they were assessed by paramedics.
Ambulance crews raced the pair to Gold Coast University Hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
The Daily Mail understands the divers were an instructor and student from a commercial dive boat company.
