Fox News star Kat Timpf recently welcomed a son – and says she went into labour just hours after being diagnosed with breast cancer, per the Los Angeles Times.

“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About 15 hours before I went into labour, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Timpf, 36, wrote in a statement via Instagram last week. “Now, before you worry, my doctor says it’s stage zero and is confident that it almost certainly hasn’t spread,” she added.

A few days later, she took to the social media platform once again to share updates on her health situation.

She began her video by thanking netizens for their support. “This is obviously a really crazy difficult unexpected time and I really do appreciate it,” she says in the clip, before going on to confirm that she will be undergoing a double mastectomy.

“I don’t take cutting my t*** off lightly,” Timpf continued. “As a general rule, I don’t think any woman does. I find it devastating. But I am very grateful to have access to the opinions of many brilliant minds when it comes to breast cancer.”

The couple first met online on the celebrity dating app Raya, according to an interview Timpf gave to People magazine. Apparently, she wasn’t sure if he was her type at first, as she told the outlet that he “seemed so clean-cut” compared to some of the other men she’d dated. During an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, she elaborated: “He works in finance, he’s from a great family, he went to boarding school,” she said.

The lovebirds tied the knot in May 2021. “I wasn’t just looking for a boyfriend or husband [before meeting Friscia],” she told People. “I was pretty full-on against it – and kind of questioning whether or not I even believed in monogamy at all.”
