As per a recent article by the New York Post, popular journalist Peter Doocy welcomed his second child, George Jack Doocy. Peter Doocy is married to Hilary Vaughn, who is a fellow correspondent at Fox News.
The couple took to Instagram to announce the happy news.
“Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5 inches long – on our fourth wedding anniversary. So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!” read the post.
According to the New York Post, Vaughn went for her regular check-ups when she was told by the doctor that she might be ready to deliver the baby. George was born on Tax Day.
“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes Vaughn told People Magazine amicably “I don’t blame him!”
The journalist further explained that she went through 30 hours of labor and joked that she is glad that her husband managed their taxes early this year.
“30 hours of labor later – George made his grand entrance to the world,” Vaughn told the publication. “I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!”

The couple shares two children now. Their first child, Bridget, was born in February 2023.

Less is known about when exactly Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn started dating. However, they both work at Fox News and share both personal and professional lives.
Hillary Vaughn was born in 1989 in Washington, D.C. She attended a Christian boarding school and earned her degree in broadcast journalism in the year 2010. Before joining Fox News, Vaughn had worked in reputable networks such as New York Post, Yahoo News, and Yahoo Finance, along with contributing to various networks such as Fox 5 Atlanta and D-News.
Doocy began as a general assignment reporter in 2009 but was later promoted to Senior White House correspondent. Vaughn started working on the business desk in 2016.
The two got married in April 2021 at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C. On Fox and Friends, Peter’s father and co-host Steve Doocy gave insights about the couple’s wedding. As per People Magazine, the couple wanted to tie the knot in January 2021 but because of the Covid-19 restrictions, they decided to reschedule.

The journalists welcomed their first daughter on February 1, 2023. They named her Bridget Blake Doocy. The news of welcoming their first child was also announced on Fox and Friends in September 2022.
Vaughn told People Magazine in an interview that she credits her work with the joy of becoming a mother.
“I didn’t realize this until now, but I’ve been training for motherhood my entire career by trying to get lawmakers on Capitol Hill to respond to my questions. Vaugh told the publication during an interview in February 2023. This job isn’t much different. ‘Baby Bridget — can you give us a comment? Are you hungry or gassy, or both?’ Trying to get an on-the-record answer is tough!”
