Fans of the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, were shocked to discover that her mother, Erin Leavitt, is five years younger than her son-in-law, Nicholas Ricco. The Daily Mail reported that Erin was born on July 18, 1970, while the real estate mogul was born in 1965, leaving a five-year age gap between the two.

The Massachusetts native, who is also a yoga instructor as well as a mother to three children, and her husband Bob, have never explicitly elaborated on how the age gap between Leavitt, 27, and Ricco,59, makes them feel. In September, Erin took to social media — a rarity in and of itself — to honor her children including her older son-in-law.

“Daughters Day.. Sons Day. I love mine,” she wrote on Facebook along with several snaps. Meanwhile, her husband took to posting a photo of his kids, grandchildren, and in-laws on Easter Sunday in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump.

“Happy Easter, everyone. Hope you all have a great day,” wrote Bob. Both he and his wife also post about their daughter’s accomplishments, especially since she entered her new role as the youngest press secretary. In a 2024 post on the site, Bob revealed that he met his wife when he was 30 and she was just a teenager.

“‘If you see my lovely Wife today wish her a Happy Birthday. 36 birthdays ago today we went out on our first date,” he wrote. “We’ve been side-by-side ever since.”

“Happy Birthday, Erin. I hope you have a wonderful day. I love you,” he added. The discovery comes after Leavitt herself admitted that she had an “atypical love story.”

“I mean it’s a very atypical love story but he’s incredible,” Karoline gushed during a prior interview. “He’s the father of my child and he’s the best dad I could ever ask for. And he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life.”

Leavitt also revealed she often tells her husband, “I walked into your life and it’s been a circus ever since.” However, she admitted she feels blessed as he’s “fully on board.”

During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Karoline further gushed, “He is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend and he’s my rock.” Leavitt added, “He’s built a very successful business himself, so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.”

According to the White House official, “a mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband. I was speaking.” Leavitt stated, “We met and we were acquainted as friends. And then we fell in love.”

The pair became engaged in December 2023 and later tied the knot days before Trump took power. The couple also has a son by the name Niko, who was born a few days before Trump was almost killed in Pennsylvania.
