Gino D’Acampo once declared he and his wife of 23 years ‘never have problems because we have our own lives away from one another’.
The Italian celebrity chef, 48, is best known for appearing on shows including This Morning, Let’s Do Lunch and Gino’s Italian Escape.

Since 2018 he’s also fronted Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip alongside Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix.
However last year it was reported he was being ‘sidelined by ITV’ after allegations of inappropriate behaviour were made against him.
Earlier this week an investigation by ITV News reported his behaviour was described by some people as ‘unacceptable,’ ‘distressing’ and ‘horrendous’. D’Acampo has ‘firmly denied’ the allegations and said they were ‘deeply upsetting’.
After two decades in the public eye, here’s everything we know about his personal life away from the cameras, specifically his marriage with Jessica Stellina Morrison, with whom he shares three children.

D’Acampo first met his wife three decades ago when they were teenagers while working at Sylvester Stallone’s Mambo King restaurant in Marbella.
Although they broke up for around a year, they got back together in 1995, moved to the UK and were eventually married in 2002.
However, a few years before their wedding he was convicted of breaking into singer Paul Young’s home, stealing £4,000 worth of guitars, a platinum record, cash and jewellery. He served two years in prison for this crime.
He previously spoke about how his time behind bars saw him chasing a fresh start, which included marrying his partner.
‘I was a boy, so I decided to get married and then I will be a man,’ he said.

Once calling their marriage ‘traditional’, D’Acampo has said the secret to their nearly 30-year relationship was the fact they ‘don’t really spend any time together’.
After he won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2009, Jessica quit her job as a HR manager to become what her husband called ‘a lady of leisure’.
However, D’Acampo told Love Sunday a decade ago how they embraced having their own space.

‘I think that’s one of the reasons we’ve lasted for 20 years. It’s a good thing, I don’t really want to know everything my wife does, because otherwise she will be boring to me,’ he said.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he also once said: ‘We allow each other to have our own lives. We are very relaxed.’
He’s also described enjoying the ‘single life’ when he is travelling for work and only wanting to speak to his wife for 20 minutes a week.
‘You need to balance your married life with your “single life”. There is a time where the family is together, when I’m with my wife and everybody to celebrate holidays and everything like that. But there has to also be a time when I do things by myself and when she does things by herself,’ he said.
After once explaining how he liked to take other women out for dinner and drinks, D’Acampo said his wife ‘gives me freedom’ and was not a ‘jealous’ partner.
‘If you try to cage men it won’t work. I can do pretty much what I want. If I say, “I’m taking friends out” she doesn’t say, “But you’ve been away for the past week”. There’s no point having a man around if he doesn’t want to be there.’
D’Acampo also once admitted romance ‘isn’t for him’ but he would get his wife diamonds when he’s been ‘naughty’ and showed his love by ‘charging her electric toothbrush and filling her car with petrol’.
Do they have any children?
The pair had their first son Luciano in 2002, going on to have another son Rocci, who was followed by daughter Mia in 2014.
He once told Woman magazine about being the stricter parent.
‘You can see my wife look at the children, saying with her eyes “Don’t even think about it, he’s not going to bend”.’
The chef also said his three kids were never allowed to be fussy eaters.
‘The problem with fussy children is their stupid parents. I run a family kitchen and in my house we don’t have options. I never had options, why should they?’ he said.
