The NBA Playoff semifinals unexpectedly lost one of the league’s biggest stars. Stephen Curry was injured in Game 1 between the Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves, but an announcement from the Golden State team surprised everyone.
Curry showed how on fire he was in the series against the Timberwolves by scoring 13 points in just 12 minutes. What had promised to be a thrilling showdown with Anthony Edwards was becoming a reality—until the Golden State Warriors star began to feel discomfort in his left leg.
Since that second quarter of Game 1, Stephen Curry has not been seen back on the court during the 2025 NBA Playoffs, and the mystery began: would he be able to return in time for the clash against Minnesota? Now, there’s an update.
After Golden State fell one loss away from elimination in the Playoffs, Curry said about a possible return to the court: “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t.” However, the medical staff in San Francisco has re-evaluated “The Chef” and made a public announcement.

“Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the last three games due to a strain in his left hamstring, has been reevaluated. The reevaluation indicated that Curry is making good progress in his recovery. He has been cleared to participate in light on-court workouts, including shooting drills. He will be reevaluated again on Saturday (May 17),” announced the official Warriors PR account on X.
