The husband of Australian funny-woman Celeste Barber has announced the couple have split in a “heartbreaking” Instagram post after twelve years of marriage.
Api Robin, who was formerly known as Barber’s “hot husband” on social media, took to Instagram with a post captioned “heavy hearts” to announce the couple’s separation.
“The past few months have been incredibly challenging and deeply heartbreaking for us both,” Robin began the post.
“After much reflection, the decision has been made to separate.
“There is still love and respect between us, but sadly we are at capacity and have come to recognise we may want for different things.”
Barber and Robin share two sons, as well as two daughters from Robin’s previous relationship, who were referenced in the post.
“Our priority remains our children and their wellbeing,” he said.
“We kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this.”

Barber is known for her hilarious parodies of model videos and photos on Instagram, using the hashtag #celestechallengeaccepted to highlight the perceived absurdity of unrealistic body standards on social media.
She has also released a book, Challenge Accepted, as well as two childrens’ books, and boasts an extensive acting and comedy career.
Barber and Robin were last pictured on the comedian’s Instagram in early November, looking loved up on tour in the US.
Robin himself is a fitness influencer, hailing from New Zealand.

Comments flooded Robin’s post on Friday evening, including the couple’s celebrity friends.
“Oh mate. I’m so sorry. Thinking of you both ,” Australian actor Patrick Brammall said.
“I’m so sorry. This would be such a difficult time for you all. Sending you all lots of love ,” former Olympic swimmer Libby Trickett said.
“Love you Dad ,” Robin’s daughter Kyah said.
Barber has yet to comment on the separation.
