Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur has revealed her romance with new boyfriend Alan Wallace actually began while she was still filming the hit Channel Nine series.
The 36-year-old told Daily Mail their connection first sparked during that now-infamous night out with rival bride Bec Zacharia back in October – almost a week before her marriage to Scott McCristal officially imploded.
Speaking candidly, Gia admitted she initially reached out to Alan while trying to dig up information about Scott.
‘We were FaceTiming Alan because there was a situation where he was with Scott’s ex and I was trying to honestly dig up some dirt on Scott at that point, because we were going downhill,’ she said.
‘I was like, oh, he dated Scott’s ex – what could I find out there? But, yeah, he was in the gym and I was like, wait, he’s kind of hot. Like, who’s that?’
What started as curiosity quickly turned into something more.

‘And then I slid into Alan’s DMs after that. And yeah, we were just talking, I mean, just friendly. But then when I came off the show it progressed,’ she said.
The pair continued speaking for months before finally meeting in person at an event – where sparks immediately flew.
‘Yeah, we met… we were talking for a couple months and then we met at an event,’ she explained.
‘He was with another girl and I was just jealous. And I was following him around and saying to my friends like, “What’s he doing now? Who’s he talking to?”‘
Gia said the chemistry was instant and undeniable.
‘It was an immediate thing. Soon as I saw Alan, I was like, what the hell? Like, I don’t know. There was just something. Like, undeniable. He felt it as well,’ she said.
The night took a bold turn when Gia decided to make her move.
‘And then later that night I finally grabbed him and kissed him in the toilets, ’cause I was like, no, you need to come with me. And that was it,’ Gia revealed.

Gia said the chemistry was instant and undeniable. ‘It was an immediate thing. Soon as I saw Alan, I was like, ”what the hell?”… There was just something… He felt it as well,’ she said
‘Yeah, we’ve been pretty much inseparable since then.’
Now, the couple has taken their relationship to the next level – moving in together and building a life as a family.
‘Yeah, we’ve moved in together… while we sit here right now he is taking my daughter to school, so he’s the best guy ever,’ she said.
Gia also hit back at claims their romance is a publicity stunt, insisting the relationship is very real.
‘I would do MAFS all over again to have met Alan. So, you know, everyone’s saying it’s PR and it’s like fake relationship and it’s like, you know… he is such an amazing person,’ she explained.
‘We live together and I’m with him every night and he’s amazing for my daughter, my whole family loves him. I love his parents and his brother.’
She described the romance as the healthiest relationship she has ever experienced.
‘Yeah, I mean it’s probably the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in… I feel safe, so I don’t wanna run away,’ Gia said.

‘I would do MAFS all over again to have met Alan. So, you know, everyone’s saying it’s PR and it’s like fake relationship and it’s like, you know… he is such an amazing person,’ she said
‘He makes me feel reassured and loved and compliments me all the time and tells me he loves me. I’d never got that before.’
Reflecting on her failed marriage to Scott, Gia said the difference with Alan is clear.
‘I think the difference with Alan and me, is that we’re just more compatible. Like there’s a lot of things in common,’ Gia revealed.
She added that the relationship has brought out a new version of herself.
‘I feel like he’s getting the best version of Gia that maybe Scott and all other exes didn’t get because now, because I’m being loved… I’m treating him right,’ she said.
The sighting comes after Gia publicly confirmed her secret romance with Alan and made a bombshell admission about her relationship with Scott.
‘I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott,’ she added.
‘There’s only so long you can fake something before it starts to eat away at you.’

Gia said that her connection with Alan developed naturally after filming wrapped, describing it as a fresh start following a difficult end to her on-screen marriage.
‘I didn’t go into this looking for anything,’ she explained.
‘But sometimes the right person comes along when you least expect it.’
While Gia stopped short of putting an exact timeline on their romance, sources close to the couple has claimed the pair grew close shortly after the experiment ended.
Alan, who previously appeared on Love Triangle, is said to have bonded with Gia over their shared experiences in the reality TV spotlight, with insiders revealing their connection quickly turned romantic.
‘They just clicked straight away,’ one insider said.
‘After everything Gia went through on MAFS, Alan has been a real support for her.’
The outing marks a stark contrast to Gia’s tumultuous relationship with Scott, which unravelled in dramatic fashion during the final weeks of the experiment.
Behind the scenes, tensions had reportedly been building for weeks, with insiders claiming trust issues and explosive arguments plagued the pair long before viewers saw their marriage deteriorate on screen.
The couple’s split has since played out publicly, with both sides offering conflicting accounts of what really went wrong.
