Lachie Neale has moved out of the Brisbane home he shared with wife Jules following their very public split.

Lachie, who is a two-time AFL premiership player with the Brisbane Lions, looked low-spirited as he directed removalists moving furniture into his new home on Monday.

Photographed wearing a simple white T-shirt, black sports shorts, and sandals, Lachie carried electrical equipment into the home himself while appearing to chat to the removalists.

The former Brisbane captain, who stepped down from the role last week, confirmed he and Jules “have now separated” following seven years of marriage.

“While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those that are closest to me,” he said.

“For that I am deeply sorry.”

It is believed Jules, who hails from WA, has moved back to Perth with the couple’s children — Piper, 4, and Freddie, aged 1 — after she was spotted moving furniture out of the former couple’s family home in Seven Hills in Brisbane’s east.

The five bedroom house, which the Neales purchased for $2.43 million in July 2022, features an open living layout, with a spacious backyard and a pool, and was described by Lachie as a “little sanctuary” and a potential “forever home” in an interview with the Courier Mail in April last year.

“We can definitely see ourselves staying in Queensland and Brisbane,” he said in the interview.

It is unclear what the former couple plan to do with the property following their split.

The confirmed separation came after Jules dispelled rumours that she and Lachie were “working through” marital issues, and instead posted a fiery statement on her Instagram revealing a betrayal on December 20, 2025.

“I want to make it very clear that I am not ‘working through’ anything,” the statement said.

“I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way.

“All I can do now is try to heal and do what’s best for my children.”

The woman at the centre of the Neale’s separation, Tess Crosley, has not removed any photos of herself with Jules or Lachie, despite Jules unfollowing her former friend on Instagram.

Just days before the news broke of the Neales’ marriage drama, Jules left a comment on a post of Ms Crosley’s which featured a photo of herself and her husband Ben cosying up to the Neales after the 2025 AFL Grand Final.

“Take these (photos) down. . .,” the comment said.

Ms Crosley has since posted a carousel of photos on Boxing Day with her son celebrating the Christmas season with the comments turned off.

Ms Crosley’s husband was notably absent from the post.
