A teenager has died and two others have been flown to hospital after a car crashed into a tree on the NSW Mid North Coast on Christmas Eve.
The car carrying three teenagers crashed on Diamond Head Road at Coralville, about 35km north of Taree, about 2.45pm on Wednesday.
One passenger died at the scene before emergency services arrived.
Paramedics treated the driver and another passenger before airlifting them to John Hunter Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
NSW Police said all three occupants were teenage males, though their exact ages are yet to be confirmed.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
Anyone with information, or who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam or mobile phone footage, is urged to contact police.
