Kyle Sandilands believes Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s dramatic walkout may have been fuelled by “something else going on”, admitting he hurt her feelings but insisting the blow‑up was not unusual for the long‑running radio duo.
Speaking off-air to 7NEWS, Sandilands said he was surprised by the scale of Henderson’s reaction during last week’s on-air clash — the moment that has now left him hosting KIIS FM’s breakfast show alone for more than a week.
“I’ve obviously hurt her feelings, but I think something else maybe is going on,” he said.
“It’s a bit of an over‑reaction from just that — we’ve had worse barneys before.”

Returning to the microphone solo on Monday morning, Sandilands attempted to calm speculation about Henderson’s future, telling listeners he still expects her to return.
“Listen, I do feel that Jackie will be back… If anyone would know anything, it would be me. And I know nothing. Zero. Big, fat zero about anything.”
Henderson has not been on air since abruptly leaving the studio mid-show during the heated exchange, leaving the top‑rating breakfast program in uncharted territory.
KIIS FM says she is “doing well” but will not return this week.
The network has not confirmed when the pair will reunite or what triggered the original argument, as questions continue to swirl about the state of their partnership — both professionally and personally.
