Karoline Leavitt Reveals a ‘Delicate’ Secret That Helps Her Connect with Her Husband 32 Years Her Senior — Listeners Couldn’t Say a Word!

Karoline Leavitt is opening the floor to questions about her love life.

The 27-year-old White House press secretary offered a glimpse into her relationship with husband Nicholas Riccio, 59, and did not shy away from addressing their 32-year age gap.

“It’s [a] very atypical love story, but he’s incredible,” she said on the Feb. 21 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show. “He is my greatest supporter, he’s my best friend, he’s my rock.”

Leavitt—who is the youngest person in U.S. history to serve in her position—shared that she was first introduced to the real estate developer in 2022 while she was running for a seat in Congress in New Hampshire. While the political aide ultimately lost her bid, she was introduced to her future spouse while on the campaign trail.

“A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,” she explained. “I was speaking. We met, we were acquainted as friends and then we fell in love.”

Following their engagement in 2023, the couple welcomed son Nicholas Robert “Niko” Riccio, now 8 months, in July. They went on to exchange vows two weeks before President Donald Trump’s second Inauguration in January, in what Leavitt recently called “one of my favorite days” in a post on Instagram.

And as Leavitt steps into her demanding new role, she pointed out one way that the generational gap between her and her husband has benefited her professional pursuits.

“He’s built a very successful business himself so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career,” she noted, adding that Riccio is “so supportive, especially during this very chaotic period of life.”
