‘I don’t believe I can do anything’: Coleen Nolan, 56, revealed on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women that she suffers from crippling self-doubt that is only ‘getting worse’ with age.
The TV presenter explained in full: ‘We’ve been doing this show now for 20 years and when we’re standing back there I still get that feeling in my stomach.
‘It’s really really bad. And it’s getting worse actually as I get older. I always have a moment of terrible nerves.
‘I think “I can’t do it. Oh god what are we talking about”. I’ve never known what I was talking about on this show though so that helps,’ she joked.
‘I’m very lucky that I have a support work that believes in me… that pushes me forwards,’ said Coleen who has often spoken out about her strong relationship with her famous sisters.

‘We’ve been doing this show now for 20 years and when we’re standing back there I still get that feeling in my stomach,’ the long-term TV presenter said of her increasing nerves
She explained of her coping tactics: ‘I think: “can it hurt me? Can it kill me?” and then I’ll do it.’
The Loose Women panellist then cited her appearance on Dancing on Ice in 2009 as one of the main life events that helped her overcome her fears.
‘Dancing on Ice made a massive change in my life because that was the scariest thing I’ve ever done,’ she reflected.
‘Now I go…you’ve danced on ice you’ll be fine… You can’t let it overwhelm you.’

It comes after Coleen revealed earlier this year that her recent short-lived romance ‘got her through’ lockdown as she revealed that it was ‘nice to feel attractive and flirt again’.
The Loose Women star had revealed that her six-month romance with her unnamed lover – eight years her junior – came to an end after he ‘couldn’t handle’ who she was.
Speaking to MailOnline Coleen told how she hopes her next guy will be able to ‘handle’ her fame and what she does.

Romance talk: It comes after Coleen admitted that her recent short-lived romance ‘got her through’ lockdown as she revealed that it was ‘nice to feel attractive and flirt again
Discussing the recent relationship with the mystery gentleman, 47, Coleen explained: ‘I met a really nice guy online and it was all going really well.
‘We met a couple of times before the lockdown but then spoke constantly for six months, and it was all lovely and then just as the restrictions eased, he couldn’t handle who I was!
‘I think to be fair to him, there’s no animosity and I wasn’t heartbroken, we weren’t in a full relationship, it was literally a vocal relationship, that’s all it could be because of lockdown.’
Speaking of how he helped her during the coronavirus pandemic, she said: ‘To be honest, it got me through lockdown really, because it was exciting and nice to feel attractive again and flirting again and all of those things.
‘But it wasn’t love at that point. To be fair to him, he’s just an ordinary guy and quite private, and he’s got kids of his own from his last marriage, I think probably in hindsight he just got cold feet and thought “I don’t know if she can handle what she does”.’
