Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has spoken out after her dramatic walkout during Wednesday night’s fiery dinner party.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Bec insisted she was pushed to breaking point and left feeling ‘thrown to the wolves’ by husband Danny Hewitt.
The controversial bride admitted she regrets some of her behaviour on the show – but says viewers are not seeing the full picture.
‘I feel a little bit misunderstood,’ Bec said.
‘I understand that there’s certain things that I’ve done that aren’t good. But at the same time, I feel like by that point everything was just on top of me.
‘I just felt like I hadn’t had a break since the wedding day, I’ve copped it completely.’

Bec shocked viewers when she stormed out of the dinner party, telling producers she wanted out of the experiment, but insists she never intended to walk away for good.
‘I wasn’t running away from the experiment experiment – I was running away from the dinner party,’ she explained.
‘I just had enough. I needed space, I needed to breathe.’
The moment came after Danny brutally told producers he felt ‘ashamed’ of his bride – a comment Bec says blindsided her.
According to Bec, the most painful part of the night wasn’t the confrontation with the group, but Danny turning on her in front of everyone.
‘I thought we were walking in there in solidarity,’ she said. ‘I thought you were going to have my back.
‘I felt like I was thrown out to the wolves. Like I was on an island all by myself.’
Bec revealed it was the first time she had ever heard Danny say he was ‘ashamed’ of her.

According to Bec, the most painful part of the night wasn’t the confrontation with the group, but Danny turning on her in front of everyone
‘It was really hard to hear,’ she admitted.
‘In this experiment, the only person you really have that you can trust is your partner. And in that moment I just felt extremely alone.’
One of the most shocking moments of the episode came when Bec told Danny to ‘pretend’ to support her, and she has now clarified what she meant.
‘I didn’t mean pretend in a fake way,’ she said.
‘I meant sit there and be on my team, be on my side – and then when we get home, tell me how you feel.
‘Instead, he chose to do it at the dinner party in front of everyone… I felt blindsided.’
Bec also addressed the vile text messages that sparked the confrontation with fellow bride Alissa Fay, insisting she has taken accountability but feels the issue has been dragged out.
‘I’ve made mistakes, right? But we’re still talking about text messages from two months prior,’ she said.

One of the most shocking moments of the episode came when Bec told Danny to ‘pretend’ to support her, and she has now clarified what she meant
‘I’ve apologised. I’ve taken accountability. I know it was wrong.
‘But it just kept coming back to haunt me… I felt like I couldn’t catch a break.’
She added that the constant scrutiny left her in a ‘state of panic’, unsure what drama would surface next.
‘I felt like I was very much bullied by Gia throughout this whole series,’ she claimed.
‘I called her the puppeteer. I feel like she’s got all these little puppets around her doing her dirty work.
‘I just didn’t know what she was going to do next.’
The dinner party also exposed deeper issues in Bec and Danny’s relationship, with Bec questioning his intentions in the experiment.
‘Danny said he came on the show because he failed in the real world,’ she said.
‘But then you see him laughing through tasks that are meant to be transformative.
‘I was questioning, are you here to be with me or are you here to be on the show?’
Despite the tension, Bec revealed the pair were able to talk things through in private after the explosive clash.
As backlash continues to mount online, Bec pushed back against claims she fuels chaos in the experiment.
‘I don’t thrive on drama. I don’t like to be involved in drama,’ she said.
‘You’re only seeing bits and pieces of what really goes on.’
She also admitted watching herself back has been confronting.
‘I can see how reactionary I am,’ she said.
‘I’ve learned that I need to stop and think before I do things.’
Bec insists there is a softer, more nurturing side to her that hasn’t made it to air, revealing she left the experiment with strong friendships.
‘I’m good friends with Stella, best friends with Rachel, Sam’s my best friend. Alyssa and I talk often,’ she said.
‘There is a really nurturing side to me that people don’t get to see.
‘I cook, I clean, I do everything for my partner… that’s who I am at my core.’
While Bec acknowledges her flaws, she believes viewers are only seeing one side of her.
‘I’m not an insecure crying villain 24/7,’ she said.
‘I’ve said what I’ve said and I’ve done what I’ve done, but I do feel misunderstood.
‘That just means I’ve got to do more work on myself.’
And with more explosive scenes yet to air, Bec hinted there is still plenty viewers haven’t seen.
‘I always face the music,’ she added.
‘But there’s a lot more to me than what’s being shown.’
