Coleen Nolan has admitted she almost ended her career over her notorious feud with Kim Woodburn.

The Loose Women panellist, 59, appeared on Celebrity Big Brother alongside Kim, 81, back in 2017 in where she was accused of ‘bullying’ by the former cleaner.

Kim was then invited onto the ITV lunchtime chat show to clear the air but any chance of reconciliation disappeared when she ended up storming off after a row.

And now almost seven years on, Coleen has opened up about the infamous argument as she confessed it was ‘the worst time of my life’.

Speaking during a Q&A session with her audience at her Naked Tour in Sunderland on Thursday night she admitted that she had warned the Loose Women producers that the segment would not end well.

‘It was exactly how I thought it was going to be and I told them that’s what she was gonna do but no one listened to me.

‘And then I can honestly say it was the worst time of my life. I very nearly threw the towel in and thought I couldn’t do it anymore.

‘And then I thought…”I’m not going to let Kim Woodburn finish my career…she’s a cleaning lady!”‘

The former Dancing on Ice contestant – who shot to fame alongside her sisters as a member of the Nolans in the 1980s – is currently touring the country for the first time as a solo artist and opened her set with Out Here On My Own from Fame.

Coleen and Kim first came to blows when they famously failed to see eye to eye during their time on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.

And the pair went on to prove their feud was still going strong during their almighty row on Loose Women, as the public and panel were left reeling in shock.

Kim broke down in tears as she accused Coleen of making her life ‘hell’ and bullying her during their time in the CBB house.

The pensioner went on to accuse the audience of ‘laughing’ at her, as she spat:  ‘Look you folks can laugh all you want. I’m going to tell you something now and then I’m going to leave. I had a very very sad childhood, a brutal childhood, it was terrible.

The How Clean Is Your House? host launched into a scathing attack on the LW panellist branding her ‘lying trash’ as the live audience and viewing public were left reeling

‘It was a brutal rotten childhood, it was terrible and I can’t describe what I went through.

‘Then when I went in the Big Brother house I was very upset in that house and I pretended I wasn’t, I pretended I was fine.’

‘I will never forget what the likes of her and everybody else were doing, they were laughing at me. I lose my temper but it’s better than that.’

Coleen then hit back: ‘We got this every day as well’, whilst Coleen’s sister Linda said of Kim’s gripes: ‘We know, we’ve heard it.’

Shaking her finger at Coleen, Kim then angrily shouted out ‘She is trash’, as she stormed out the studio, ignoring Janet Street-Porter call out ‘She’s not trash’.

As Coleen then attempted to throw to an advert break, Kim could be heard continuing to shout out that Coleen is ‘trash’ and accused her of being a ‘bully’.

Things had escalated on the show, as the pair discussed their past together, with Coleen admitting: ‘I think Kim’s right I was two-faced with Kim in the house, I tried to be the peacemaker because everybody was rowing.

‘I I think Kim very, very cleverly because she’s a fan of the show, acted like she was being bullied. I was just trying to keep the peace, and it was just near the end and I couldn’t stand it anymore, if that makes me two-faced it makes me two-faced.

‘The way she comes out now is the way she woke up every morning. You’ve come out for a row. I didn’t tell you how vile you are from day one. You’re a horrible self-centred.’

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline at the time: ‘Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen.

‘Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her. She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.’

Coleen went on to apologise if she caused offence following the controversial row as she broke down with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during an interview on This Morning.

The star revealed the backlash has been ‘horrendous’ and said she had even been sent death threats, with sick trolls urging her to ‘die like her sister’ Bernie.

Viewers had slammed the Loose Women panel for ‘muttering under their breath’ while Kim broke down in tears discussing her traumatic childhood last week, sparking over 3,297 complaints to media watchdog Ofcom.

Coming clean about the incident, Coleen tearfully told Holly and Phil: ‘I honestly I don’t know what to say. If I could go back in time, I would change the whole thing. It was never meant to be like that, I thought Kim was coming on to make amends.

‘It didn’t go that way obviously from the moment she came out. It was genuinely shocking for the both of us.

‘I didn’t want anyone to be distressed. It’s been the worst week of my life.’

The Nolans singer then descended into hysterical tears, sobbing as she recounted the terrible death threats trolls have been sending her.

‘I don’t know what I did wrong. I didn’t say anything in that interview because she needs help and I feel sorry for her’, she wailed.

‘But to be called a bully and to have messages like “Why can’t you die like your sister”, “Why can’t you have cancer like your sister?” They send me these revolting messages.’

Coleen’s sister Bernie tragically passed away from cancer in July 2013. She was the lead vocalist of the Nolans, the family band also formed of Coleen, Anne, Denise, Maureen and Linda Nolan.

The Loose Women regular – who is planning to embark on a solo singing tour without her sisters – went on to reveal she was thinking about quitting showbiz for good.

She sobbed: ‘I’ve called my managers, my family saying I don’t want to do it anymore. I think I’m strong I’ve been in it years and I’ve dealt with trolls before.

‘It’s revolting you know and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I would never wish harm on Kim. I don’t hate Kim and I would never set out to bully her.’
