According to The Sporting News, citing information from Jovan Buha, senior Lakers reporter at Bleacher Report, LeBron James is no longer considered untouchable within the organization and could be traded during the summer market — a scenario that no one saw coming and one that could completely shift the league’s landscape.

That said, The Sporting News also revealed that LeBron has a clause in his contract that gives him the right to decide whether or not he wants to be traded. In other words, even if a team makes an offer and the Lakers are willing to accept it, if LeBron says no, the trade doesn’t happen. He retains full control over his future.
