Alison Hammond has revealed the reason why she didn’t want to use weight loss injections before managing to drop an incredible 13.5stone without them.
The This Morning presenter, 50, admitted she was ‘frightened’ to use the jabs after hearing horror stories about complications after taking them.
Alison said that while she doesn’t begrudge anyone else using them for weight loss benefits, she doesn’t feel that they are currently for her.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK magazine, she said: ‘I think that, for people who need to use them, [weight loss jabs are] a good thing – but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
‘So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did.’
At her heaviest Alison was 30 stone, but she now weighs 16 and a half after dedicating herself to four personal trainer workouts a week.

Alison recently revealed the side effects she experienced during her weight loss journey.
In 2007, she had a gastric band fitted, but had it removed three years later after her body rejected it.
Ten years later, she appeared on TV show Sugar Free farm, which followed celebs as they embraced a sugar-free diet and farm work.
While she managed to lose two-stone on the show, the side effects she was met with were far from pretty.
Alison told Bella magazine: ‘I did have a lot of headaches and felt dizzy – it was like having a hangover, not that I drink.
‘I would even say it was like coming off drugs, and I don’t do those either.’
After a health scare gave her a wake-up call, Alison now looks and feels worlds away from her old self.
‘I feel happy within myself,’ she added.

It comes after Alison shared an insight into what she eats in a typical day after managing to reverse her pre-diabetic diagnosis.
The star gets up early no matter if she has work the next day or if she has gone to bed late the previous evening.
Alison shared how she kicks off the day with an immunity boosting ginger shot, before getting stuck into a Full English, giving herself plenty of energy with eggs, bacon and sausages, which she’ll have with her son Aiden.
The TV personality revealed that on studio days she will take a break and enjoy Caribbean food for lunch, rice, peas and chicken.
If she was at home, she would rustle up a homemade lasagna before spending the afternoon ‘pottering’ or catching up on reality TV.
By the time dinner rolls around, Alison has spent the afternoon at the cinema, doing some home DIY and cleaning or a sports activity.
Sharing what sort of thing she would cook at home for dinner, Alison told the Sunday Times magazine: ‘If I’m staying in I’ll rustle up curried goat and rice or chicken fried rice.’
However the mother of one admitted that she does love a glam night out, adding: ‘I do love an occasional awards do. The most glamorous night ever was probably Elton John’s 2019 Oscars party, which I covered for This Morning.

Alison joked how she had a kiss from Elton, a chat with Paris Hilton and met the Kardashians.
Alison decided to lose weight after the death of her mother Maria – who had raised concerns over Alison’s pre-diabetic diagnosis.
Now, she has revealed how she managed to lose weight without the assistance of weight-loss jabs, giving an insight into her exercise plan with her personal trainer.
Alison told Heat: ‘I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing, she trains me when I can train.
‘If I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk.
‘But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.’
She also revealed her approach to her diet, saying she hasn’t cut anything out completely but focuses on ‘moderation’.
‘I don’t deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation,’ she added.

Alison previously told how weight loss jabs weren’t for her, opting against using them because she was ‘frightened’ of ‘scary’ stories surrounding them.
She told Good Housekeeping UK: ‘I think that, for people who need to use them, they’re a good thing – but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
‘So I haven’t wanted to use them, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t in the future, and I certainly wouldn’t look down on anyone who did.’
Alison also revealed how her mother Maria, who died in January 2020 from lung and liver cancer, influenced her decision to overhaul her lifestyle.
She shared: ‘My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening.
‘I thought: ‘I have to be an adult about this’. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods.
‘Twice a week, I see my personal trainer and I have a couple of weights in my bedroom. I walk, I stretch and sometimes I do a bit of yoga.’
Amid her body transformation, the broadcaster opted to sell off her old size 26 clothes earlier this year for charity in memory of her late mother.
She told Bella magazine: ‘I’ve lost a lot of weight. I can remember being nearly 30st, and now I’m in the 17/16st 7lbs range.
‘I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing. She trains me when I can train. If I’m working, I don’t train. I’ll go for a walk. But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.’
Alison ‘doesn’t deny’ herself any foods in particular, preferring to ‘eat everything, but in moderation’.
However, she went without sugar for 2017 TV show ‘Sugar Free Farm’, in which stars including Gemma Collins and Ann Widdecombe took on a sugar-free diet while working on a farm, but it left her feeling ‘dizzy’ and like she had ‘come off drugs’.
She said: ‘I did have a lot of headaches and felt dizzy – it was like I was having a hangover, not that I drink.
‘I would even say it was like coming off drugs, and I don’t do those either.’
Nowadays, Alison feels ‘amazing’ and ‘happy within [herself]’ after turning 50 in February.
She said: ‘It’s no different to the last decade – it’s exactly the same.
‘It just feels like I’ve been waiting in the queue at the Post Office a little bit longer than someone younger than me.
‘There’s no difference in the queue, everything is exactly the same and you still see the same scenery, it’s just that I’ve been there longer.’
The former ‘Big Brother’ star is ‘loved-up’ with her boyfriend, 27-year-old Russian masseur and model David Putman, and she would ‘never say no’ to marriage.
She added: ‘I don’t like to go into detail about him because it’s my private life, and I want to respect his life as well.
‘But you know I’m loved-up. Everyone knows!’
