Just as the rumor of a possible move by Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Golden State Warriors grows stronger, a gesture by the NBA star toward Stephen Curry has gone public — and it surprised everyone.
For the third consecutive season, the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and everything seems to indicate that Antetokounmpo is running out of patience as he sees no clear path to winning a second championship.
Shams Charania, the ESPN journalist known for dropping NBA bombshells, reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo, for the first time in his 11-year career, is seriously considering whether staying with the Milwaukee Bucks is the best long-term option — or if it’s time to join another team. That’s when the Golden State Warriors entered the picture.
The Warriors weren’t just one of the five teams suggested by James Herbert of CBS Sports — alongside the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs — as potential landing spots for Antetokounmpo. They were also part of a gesture that stunned everyone.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game took place in San Francisco, and after the event, Stephen Curry hosted a private party. According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only player who attended the party without being a member of the Golden State Warriors. A gesture that clearly showed just how close The Greek Freak and Steph really are.
