Authorities in Connecticut have released a new age progression image as they appeal for fresh leads that could help locate a missing person.

Bianca Lebron was 10 years old when she was last seen at the former Elias Howe School in Bridgeport at around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2001. She allegedly told friends she was going to the mall with her uncle and got into a van before her disappearance.

However, she did not have an uncle, and the man’s identity remains unknown.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has shared an image depicting what Lebron might look like at age 34 as the search for her continues.

“Living with this every day, it’s no life, it’s not, not knowing where your child is, what happened to her,” her mother, Carmelita Torres, told ABC 7 almost 25 years after the vanishing.

On Wednesday, March 18, Torres appeared in a press conference with other family members.

Lebron’s adult niece said, “Coming from a mother, I know there is someone out there who had to see something. My grandma has been broken for the past 24 years without her daughter, please help bring my family closure.”

Since Lebron has never been found, Bridgeport Police have remained hopeful that the now-34-year-old could still be alive.

“Bianca Lebron could be the victim of a homicide, she could also be missing and out there and still alive and that’s what this photograph means,” said Bridgeport Police Dept. Detective Jeffrey Holtz.

The police have identified persons of interest and have dug up two locations based on tips. They are currently offering a $62,000 reward for information that could help them find Lebron.

Bridgeport Police Dept. Chief Roderick Porter said, “Anytime a community has a child go missing from school, we need to find out what happened, and if so there’s anybody out there, if you know anything regarding this case, please come forward and help us.”
