A young boy has suffered serious injuries when he was mowed down by an e-scooter.
Seven-year-old Archie was dragged for metres and had his tooth ripped out when he was struck on a footpath near a playground at the Byford train station, in Perth’s southeast.
The rider involved in the incident on Sunday fled the scene.
Archie’s shocked parents said they did not hear the scooter coming.
“There was just blood everywhere,” Laura Drewett told 7NEWS.
“That was just the first thing I saw. I could not believe there was so much blood.”
The incident has left them reeling and unable to sleep.
“All I see is that collision and all that blood,” Drewett said.
“I just wish there is more I could have done, but it just happened so fast.”
The wipeout was caught on camera and police are working to find the rider responsible.
Archie’s parents have pleaded for urgent action to stop other children being hurt or killed.

Dangerous riding by people on e-rideables is an ongoing issue for local authorities.
So far in 2026, more than two dozen youths have been charged with riding recklessly in Perth’s Joondalup district alone.
“We’re still getting kids under 16 riding them, being reckless, speeding, not wearing a helmet,” Police Minister Reece Whitby said.
WA Police revealed last week that more than 30 e-rideables had been seized during an operation targeting anti-social behaviour involving electric scooters and off-road bikes.
Along with the announcement, police shared vision of the machines being crushed and binned as a warning to others.
“It’s disturbing for us to watch some of the footage on social media depicting the alleged dangerous actions of the juveniles putting people at risk in our community,” Acting Inspector Scott Gillis said.

In December, British backpacker Alicia Kemp, 24, was jailed over a Perth CBD e-scooter crash that killed beloved father Thanh Phan, 51.
Kemp had been drinking and was pictured weaving between pedestrians before she struck the father last May.
The court was told she was travelling at about 20km/h, double the legal limit.
Phan is believed to be the first death of a pedestrian from an e-scooter accident in WA, and there have been at least a dozen rider fatalities in the state since 2022. Some have been children.
A WA parliamentary inquiry into e-scooter and e-bikes, triggered by Phan’s death, suggested introducing ID stickers, like number plates for scooters.
The minister said that is under consideration.
Meanwhile, children under 16 will be banned from riding or storing e-rideables at all public schools in WA from term one in 2026.
