Police are urgently appealing to the public as the search intensifies for a teenage girl who has been missing from Western Australia’s Peel region for nearly a week.
Emma-Lee Kowlaski, 15, was last seen in the Mandurah area on Saturday morning, sparking growing concerns for her safety and wellbeing. As each day passes without contact, fears for the teenager’s welfare continue to mount.
The 15-year-old, who prefers to go by the name “Lee,” is described as having long brunette or red hair. Authorities have not released further details about what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance, but investigators are urging anyone who may have seen her — or who has any information about her movements — to come forward immediately.

Police say Lee’s sudden disappearance is out of character, and concerns are being held for her welfare. Officers have been conducting inquiries throughout the Mandurah area and surrounding parts of the Peel region, following up on reported sightings and reviewing available information in hopes of locating her as quickly as possible.
Mandurah, a coastal city south of Perth, is a popular and busy area, particularly on weekends. Investigators are hoping that someone may have seen Lee in the area last Saturday morning and may hold a crucial piece of information that could help bring her home safely.
Family and friends are said to be distraught as the search enters its seventh day. Loved ones are anxiously awaiting any update that could shed light on where Lee may be or who she may be with. Community members have also begun sharing her details across social media in an effort to widen the search and encourage anyone with knowledge to contact authorities.
Police have stressed that even the smallest piece of information could prove vital. They are asking residents in Mandurah and the wider Peel region to check dashcam footage, home security cameras, and any other recordings from Saturday morning that might capture Lee or provide clues about her movements.
Authorities are also reminding the public not to speculate about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, but instead to direct any relevant information straight to investigators.
Anyone who has seen Emma-Lee Kowlaski, or who knows of her whereabouts, is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444. Information can be provided anonymously, and officers say swift reporting could make a critical difference in ensuring Lee’s safe return.
As the search continues, the focus remains on locating the 15-year-old and reuniting her with her family as soon as possible.
