Asda has slashed prices on exclusive Gino D’Acampo kitchen products, amid misconduct allegations levelled against the famous chef. The supermarket chain confirmed that price cuts are part of a company-wide promotion, with a host of discounted items available both in-store and online.

Among the bargains are smaller kitchen must-haves like the 28cm Gino D’Acampo Wok, now reduced by 33% from £15 to just £9.97, and Black Tongs down from £3.50 to a mere £1.98. But it’s not just the small staples – larger appliances are also included in the sale, with toasters at £24.97, blenders at £15.88 and even kettles at £16.94.
Photos taken in-store at Horwich, Bolton, suggest that 9L dual air fryers have been marked down by over 33% too, dropping from £89 to a tempting £58.92. These sweeping discounts come in the wake of allegations made against D’Acampo earlier this month.
ITV reported that ‘dozens’ of individuals had lodged complaints about the TV chef’s ‘unacceptable’ and ‘distressing’ conduct on various programmes spanning more than 12 years. This includes his time on shows such as Gino’s Italian Express, Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, and Gino’s Italian Family Adventure, among others.
D’Acampo, 48, has ‘firmly denied’ the allegations, with his legal team stating he does not recognise the incidents described. According to the Mirror, he said in a statement: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago.

“I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.
“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.
“I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”
When approached for comment, Asda did not address the allegations but highlighted that its D’Acampo promotions are part of regular discounting processes across the company. Not all D’Acampo products are subject to discounts across the range.
An Asda spokesperson said: “We relaunched Rollback in January which immediately reduced the price of thousands of products across all categories including kitchenware in store and online. Once the promotion ends, these products will move to a new cheaper Asda Price, providing customers with the lowest price across the traditional supermarkets.”
