Celebrity Big Brother fans have vented their fury after it was revealed that the new series will be hit by a huge scheduling shake-up.

The much-anticipated new run is set to kick off next month, with names including Love Island’s Chris Hughes, Olympian Daley Thompson and Corrie star Jack P Shepherd among those rumoured to be heading into the house.

While fans hoped to tune into each episode in the primetime slot of 9pm, it’s been revealed that the show will be airing at the later time of 10pm on Sundays.

This is for ITV to maintain the earlier time of 8-10pm as a prime spot for new dramas.

The move also means that the CBB aftershow Late and Live will not be broadcast until 11pm on Sunday nights.

The news sparked fury from die-hard fans of the show, already upset that the upcoming celebrity edition will be on screen for less than three weeks.

Posts on X included: ‘It’s ridiculous putting it on so late at night, won’t even bother watching Late and Live now.

‘I really hope it’s only on late on Sundays otherwise I will be so gutted to miss Late and Live each day;’

‘Yeah I love BB but I won’t be watching those Sunday late and lives lmao;’

‘I’m getting the feeling that ITV want CBB to fail;’

‘The abysmal ITV being abysmal who would have thought.’

It comes after it was reported that Danny Jones’ wife Georgia turned down the opportunity to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Georgia, 38, reportedly turned down a whopping six-figure offer from ITV, as she would rather keep her personal life off screen and instead focus on her son Cooper, seven.

A source told The Mirror: ‘She’s heartbroken, but she’s dealing with it in her own way, away from the cameras and headlines.

‘She’s never been interested in the spotlight when it comes to personal matters. Georgia believes some things should be handled behind closed doors, especially for Cooper’s sake.

‘Right now, she’s just trying to process everything without outside noise influencing her decisions.’

According to the publication, Georgia was approached after the BRITs and in wake of the scandal, but despite talks about the possiiblity going ahead, nothing was finalised.

The source added that she will be avoiding interviews and instead wants to lay low and work out her relationship behind closed doors.

In the wake of the scandal, both Maura and Danny have been hit by a wave of criticism, with many furious on behalf of Georgia, Danny’s wife of 10 years and mother of his son.

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother is set to kick off next month, with the famous house being rebuilt in a brand new location.

The star-studded edition of the reality show was revived by ITV last year, and saw Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts crowned champion.
