Lainey Wilson used her double No. 1 party to celebrate more than just her own success — she predicted Ella Langley will “sweep” the 2025 ACM Awards.

During a press conference at a recent double no. 1 party for her chart-topping hits “Wildflowers And Wild Horses” and “4X4XU,” the country superstar took a moment to shine a spotlight on someone else, rising country star and “you look like you love me” singer Ella Langley. During the press conference, Lainey Wilson got candid about her admiration for Ella Langley, revealing just how much she sees herself in the rising artist.

“I see a lot of myself in Ella. We really are great friends, and I’m so, so proud of her,” Wilson said with a big smile on her face. “But I could not be more thrilled. I could not be more excited to see it happening to a girl that she just knows who she is, and she shows up, and she rolls her sleeves up, and she is ready to kick down barn doors. And you got to have that spirit in this business. If you don’t have that spirit, there’s somebody in behind you that’s going to have that spirit, and they’re going to knock down the barn door for you. So she’s one of those.”

Lainey Wilson, who is no stranger to award wins herself, didn’t hold back when predicting that Langley will sweep the upcoming 2025 ACM Awards, where Langley is a first-time nominee and the most-nominated artist with eight nods. Wilson is also nominated for seven awards at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, including her first-ever Artist-Songwriter of the Year nomination.

“I would not be surprised that she don’t come in there with her broom and start sweeping it up, and I’d be behind her with the little tray, the dust pan,” Wilson predicted, before detailing her reacting to seeing Langley’s nominations. “I was just like, let’s go. I’m glad to see the community really taking notice and somebody who’s just got it, and that’s a good feeling, especially as a female in the business. It’s good to see.”

Wilson Wants To Help Others Like Her Idols Did For Her

The 32-year-old Louisiana native also talked about how important it is to help and guide others in country music. She shared how her idols like Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, and Wynonna Judd helped her when she was just getting started.

“Just like other artists have done for me, like Miranda Lambert, Reba and Wynonna, and the ladies who have kind of been there and done that, they have really just decided that they wanted to pour into me, and I’m open to all of that. I’m like, I feel blessed that that’s even an option. And so those ladies have had such unique and long careers, and I think it’s because of the wisdom that was passed along to them, and now they’re passing ’em along to me,” Wilson explained.

Wilson says she’s doing the same now, making a conscious effort to lift fellow female artists like Langley and Megan Moroney. “So I’m trying to make dang sure that if an opportunity presents itself, that I’m also passing on that knowledge and that wisdom, especially to the females on the up and up right now. I’m buddies with Megan Moroney and Ella Langley, and to watch their stars just soaring. It is really, really cool to see,” she added.

Wilson also offered heartfelt advice to those following in her footsteps, “And at times I’m like, I want to just pour out as much as I possibly can to and be like, don’t you miss this moment. You know, be present. Do whatever you got to do to soak it in and celebrate these times, and then get ready for the next one, because it’s going to be right around the corner quicker than you can even realize what had just happened.”

And her final piece of wisdom for those wanting to pursue a career in country music is to stay grounded. “Keep your head down and work hard, but also look up and acknowledge that their hard work has gotten ’em to this point and who they are and their stories and their music, and to not let the voices of the world get ’em down.”
