Sir Chris Hoy has issued an inspiring message after being named the headline speaker at an upcoming leadership summit. The Olympic legend has been announced as part of the lineup for The Calling event, which is set to take place in Glasgow.

The summit was created by businessman Peter Vardy and will be produced by The Peter Vardy Foundation. The Calling will be hosted at the SEC Armadillo on Friday, October 2, where Hoy will discuss how he has used leadership, both on and off the cycling track.

The six-time Olympic gold medalist and 11-time world champion is one of the greatest cyclists of his generation. However, the 49-year-old was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer in 2023 and confirmed his condition was terminal the following year.
