Sh0ck on This Morning: Cat Deeley walks off set after being branded a ‘d.i.r.tbag’ by TV chef

This Morning star Cat Deeley jokingly stormed off of the ITV show’s set after being called a “dirtbag” by TV chef Donal Skehan.

The chef, who had stopped by to make his take on a banoffee pie, exposed Cat’s cheeky off-air habit ahead of his segment, revealing that she had been dipping a biscuit into his banoffee pie mix. Telling Cat off for the naughty habit, Donal called the star a “dirtbag”.

Cat and co-host Ben Shephard introduced chef Donal on the show, revealing that he’ll be showing viewers how to make his banoffee pie after the break. “Donal, you’re in the kitchen with some lovely biscuits and cream,” Cat said.

However, she was soon interrupted by Donal, who added: “Are you going to tell everyone what you just did? She picked up a Biscoff and literally dipped it in and took a big bite. You are a dirtbag.”

In mock outrage, Cat stormed off set, telling Donal and Ben: “Bye, bye everybody.” As the show went to an ad break, Ben and Donal were left in stitches.

Earlier this month, This Morning sparked complaints over Nigel Farage’s surprise appearance on the ITV show. The Reform UK Leader was interviewed by Ben and Cat on the sofa after returning from the US for Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I will never forget the victory rally on the eve of Inauguration and there’s Trump, and Village People come on stage, and he’s dancing on stage with them,” he said about the ceremony. “You can like Trump, you can loathe him, but he’s won fair and square.”

Angry fans took to social media to fume over Nigel Farage being on the show. One wrote: “Farage ! FFS Why?? #thismorning,” whilst a second fumed as they penned: “Farage. WTF #thismorning.”

A third wrote: ” @Nigel _Farage quite funny seen a snake with you on tv for Chinese new year. Quite fitting #snake #farage #thismorning.”

Ahead of This Morning, ITV’s Good Morning Britain was halted by hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid for an odd AI-generated video of Gaza shared by US president Donald Trump. The video featured golden statues of the US president AI-generated versions of Trump with Israel prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu by a hotel resort pool.

Meanwhile, a song played in the background with the lyrics: “Donald’s coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear: Trump Gaza’s finally here.”
