Broadus, who is Snoop Dogg’s youngest child and only daughter, previously shared in a March 2025 Instagram post that Codi had been born three months early.

“The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote at the time.

“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed.

“But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!

“Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!!

“Thank You God for getting me this far.”

In a follow-up post shared on the same day, Broadus said she was developing HELLP syndrome, which is a rare obstetric emergency, often considered a severe variant of pre-eclampsia.

“It is very severe and can even cause death if untreated,” Broadus said at the time, according to PEOPLE.

Codi spent months in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), with Broadus sharing she was finally able to bring her baby girl home in January this year.

“She’s home,” she wrote.

“Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love.

“God heard them all.”

Following the devastating announcement, the grieving mother shared a series of new posts on her Instagram stories.

“You were supposed to bury me, not me bury you Codi,” she wrote.

“Waiting for someone to tell me to wake up and this is just a bad dream.”
