“I think we’ve only just begun to see Mel and Jack function as a married couple, which is exciting,” the showrunner shared. Season seven will “explore the honeymoon phase for them as they’re building their lives on the farm, which can come with its own obstacles.”

The heart of the Virgin River community beats at Snug Cove on Bowen Island, with scenes capturing the local library and Artisan Lane.

The Watershed Grill in Brackendale doubles as Jack’s Grill in the series.

Meanwhile, some of Mel and Jack’s most swoon-worthy riverside moments were captured in Squamish – a town north of Vancouver.

Other outdoor scenes were shot at Shannon Falls Provincial Park and Fraser Foreshore Park.

Mel’s cabin was ‘sinking’ into the ground

Mel’s iconic log cabin from the series is actually the caretaker’s house at Murdo Frazer Park in North Vancouver. The site is famous for its stunning filming locations.

Doc Mullins’ (Tim Matheson) GP practice is nestled in a charming Victorian home in New Westminister.

Location scout W. Robert Millar revealed to Tudum the nerve-wracking moment they believed Mel’s cabin was a goner, as it’s “sinking” into the ground.
