The Night Agent has returned for season 2 and has already raced to the top of Netflix’s charts. It’s likely to stay there for a while, given that season 1 is the seventh most-watched English language series in Netflix history, but once you finish, you may want to know about season 3.

Will There Be a Season 3 of 'The Night Agent'?
You may have already heard that yes, it is getting a season 3. The Night Agent was renewed for season 3 over a month before season 2 aired, indicating the large amount of faith Netflix has in the series, even as it is no longer adapting its original source material book, as it was never an ongoing series.

But now there’s some additional information about season 3 from Netflix itself.

The Night Agent season 3 is wasting no time and production already has begun in Istanbul. At some point during 2025 it will return to film in New York, which may give you some indication about its storyline. This production timing may indicate that season 3 may be coming in less time than the 22 month gap between the first two seasons. It will continue on with the same showrunner/creator Shawn Ryan. You may not recognize many of those names offhand, but yes, you have almost certainly seen them before, if not in those listed shows, then perhaps other series and films.

As for the plotline of season 3, you may be able to have at least some level of an idea if you’ve finished season 2, but I will not go into spoilers here. The series does seem a little bit more self-contained that other shows in the genre, which I would say reflects a series that it’s trying to compete with Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher, which has the same lead but pretty different cases each time. But we’ll see what The Night Agent wants to do with its own concept as time goes on here. I am predicting at least five seasons of this show when all is said and done, as this is the kind of hit Netflix definitely wants to see. My main question now is to see if season 2 outperforms season 1, and it’s already reviewing better, at the very least.
