Fans of Virgin Rivers are sharing what they would like to see in the next season of the a Netflix show as the filming of season seven is underway.

Virgin River fans have ideas about what they would like to see in the next season of the Netflix series.

The show was renewed for a seventh season after premiering season six in December 2024. The 10-episode season saw a lot drama and ended with a much anticipated wedding between Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) as well as a cliffhanger involving the whereabouts of Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersley).

A fan on a Virgin River subreddit made a post asking what fans wanted to see for season seven which is currently filming and stated they “want tighter storylines, with less filler scenes” after season six.

They also mentioned how the new season is slated for “early 2026” (although Netflix has not announced when) and will begin two days after the events that happened in season six. The fan elaborated that Mel and Jack will be a focus in the next season specifically them “settling into married life, working on their new home and their quest for a family.”

They shared their predictions before inquiring what other fans want to see in the upcoming season: “I’m predicting because Everett mentioned he made custom furniture while at lunch with Jack’s dad, he gifts the couple with either a cradle or rocking chair for their nursery.”

One fan said, mentioning Mel’s biological dad Everett Reid (John Allen Nelson): “Hopefully we don’t have to endure another season of Everett, last season was bad enough.”

A second fan exclaimed, referring to Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) who is pregnant with Denny’s baby (for now) and their decision to test for Huntington’s disease: “Ugh the fact that it’s taking place 2 days after S6 finale, means that Lizzie’s pregnancy will continue to be status quo and we won’t get any answers about if the baby has HG or if Ricky is the father.”

Another simply said: “Just more Mel and Jack.” A fourth fan said: “I wanna know if Brady gets the money back that Lark stole! I really wanted them to work out…”
