A man and a young child have died after their vehicle rolled into a dam on a property in central Queensland.

Emergency services were called to a property on Wyuna Rd, in Wyuna, west of Rockhampton, just after 2pm on Sunday.

Paramedics rushed to the scene where they treated a 70-year-old man and seven-year-old boy for life-threatening injuries.

Despite their best efforts, police said they both died at the scene.

Police were told the pair were riding in an ATV when it rolled down an embankment and into a dam on the property.

The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Earlier the same day, a 67-year-old man died in a separate incident after the golf buggy he was driving crashed at Gracemere, also near Rockhampton.

The man was driving along McLaughlin St shortly before 6am when it rolled.

Police said officers were continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone who may have seen the golf buggy in Gracemere prior to the crash is urged to contact police.
