Queensland Police are investigating the father who discovered his 38-year-old partner in bed with his teenage son over an alleged death threat posted to Instagram on Tuesday night, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Gold Coast builder Levi Hilton burst into former girlfriend Jessica Te Huia’s bedroom at about 4am on June 1 to find her sleeping alongside Lorenzo Hilton, his 19-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Hilton first shared the video publicly with his 6,000 Instagram followers on Monday morning – but it has since exploded online, racking up thousands more views as Queenslanders become hooked on what feels like a real-life soap opera.

All three parties involved gave their side of the story to the Daily Mail during a series of extraordinary interviews on Tuesday.

In a stunning twist, Te Huia and Lorenzo confirmed they are now together romantically following the end of her relationship with Hilton.

But the saga took a dark turn later that evening, when Hilton posted a video to his Instagram Stories in which he allegedly threatened Lorenzo’s life.

‘Damn, my boy [has] been talking some s***. Acting like his father won’t f***ing “sleep” him,’ he said in a piece-to-camera.

‘I bought you into this earth and I’ll take you f***ing right out of it too, boy. I f***ing wrote the book, son.’

Hilton appeared to have deleted the video within hours, but the Mail understands police are now investigating the alleged incident as a matter ‘between father and son’.

At the time of publication, there was no warrant for Hilton’s arrest.

When contacted by the Mail on Wednesday morning and asked if he was aware he had allegedly posted a video that could be construed as a death threat, Hilton denied that it existed.

‘Nah. I didn’t… Not that I can recall,’ he said. ‘Is it still there?’

During an online tirade on Tuesday, Hilton said: ‘I’ll happily rot in a cell, so long as I get my s**t out.’

Since the online scandal, more details about Hilton have come to light.

In 2020, Hilton attacked police officers and paramedics on a busy highway on the Gold Coast.

In the subsequent court case in 2022, Hilton pleaded guilty to two counts of seriously assaulting a police officer and one count of serious assault of a public officer.

He was sentenced to nine months imprisonment, with an immediate release on parole.

In January 2022, Hilton attacked an elderly retired police officer and army veteran.

According to the Courier-Mail, Hilton was acquiring a vehicle safety certificate from the 84-year-old in Waterford, Queensland, when a ‘dispute’ occurred.

The newspaper reported Hilton had grabbed the victim’s hand in the process, which caused the victim to lose balance and fall over.

Hilton pleaded guilty to one count of common assault and was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for nine months.

The veteran said he had become ‘withdrawn and scared’ since the attack.

On Wednesday, Hilton revealed another Australian media outlet had contacted him suggesting the Mail had ‘kind of ragged on you, which seems pretty rough given the circumstances, so would be nice to share your side of the story a bit more’.

Lorenzo appeared to hit back at his dad via his social media, posting a statement which read, ‘Is he forgetting I embarrassed him twice before?’

‘One time after he cheap shot [sic] me from behind because I didn’t want to take the blame for him after he crashed his ute.

‘[The] thing is, people are too quick to judge based off what they see on social platforms, and they don’t know the backstory behind it all. Ain’t nobody know my old BOY better than me, and let me tell ya, he’s as low as they come.’

As the scandal exploded on Tuesday, Te Huia was forced to delete her Instagram account, which had 3,000 followers, after trolls contacted her and her family.

By Wednesday morning, Te Huia had returned to Instagram – but within hours she confirmed to the Daily Mail that her account had been hacked by persons unknown.

Her account was subsequently changed to private, her followers were deleted, and her bio was updated to read, ‘Age is just a number’, with Lorenzo tagged alongside a drooling emoji.

In the original video Hilton posted on Monday morning, he stormed into a bedroom and captured footage of himself peeling back the covers to show both Te Huia and Lorenzo in their underwear.

‘Why are you in her bed?’ he asked Lorenzo, before turning the camera toward Te Huia.

‘I’m not doing anything, bro,’ replied Te Huia, whose eyes were still closed, as she demanded Hilton get out of her house.

‘Are you having sex with my son? Are you?’ he fumed. ‘Why is my son in your bed?’

‘My 19-year-old boy… here’s proof. Proof’s in the pudding. You’re in undies with my son.’

She responded: ‘I’m always in undies, bro… I haven’t even done anything, Levi.’

Te Huia later defended the series of events that resulted in her being splashed across the internet, sparking cruel copycat videos and nasty comments.

Far from a betrayal, she said her relationship with Hilton was long in the past and that she has been in a happy, secure relationship with Lorenzo for about three weeks.

She added that they had been brought together after Lorenzo supported her through an unhappy relationship with his father.

‘Levi and I hadn’t been together for two months. Lorenzo and I, yes, we have created a relationship [since the split].’

Te Huia went on to explain that Hilton captured the viral video footage after breaking into her home and unlocking the bedroom door with a butter knife.

In an extraordinary admission, Hilton confirmed that this was true – and also said that he was subject to a protection order made on Te Huia’s behalf that remains before the courts.

According to public records, the home is solely in Te Huia’s name – but Hilton insisted that he lived there.

During her interview with the Mail on Tuesday, Te Huia said that the viral video was ‘a completely inaccurate misinterpretation of events’.

‘His son has been sticking up for me and is more of a man than he ever will be,’ she added, pointedly.

When asked about the online abuse she was copping because of her age difference with Lorenzo, Te Huia was surprisingly frank.

‘He is 19 years old. He is a man. I would never in my life look at a 19-year-old and be attracted to a 19-year-old. However, we found comfort in one another,’ she said.

‘I will put my hand up and say, given the fact that [I’m in a relationship with Lorenzo] and [he is] Levi’s son, I get the perception and I will own that. I will say 100 per cent that I get from an outsider’s perspective that I know how this looks.

‘But Lorenzo has done nothing but be in my corner and defend me.’

She added of Hilton: ‘The way this man is portraying me [on social media] is defamation of character.’

In a text exchange screenshotted and posted to Hilton’s public Instagram earlier this week, Lorenzo declared his love for his father’s ex-girlfriend.

‘Jess holds a special place in my heart and I honestly love her more than anyone or anything in this world, Dad,’ he said.

‘I was always confused about the way you treated her the way you did after all she’s done for you… and I wished I could be in your shoes.

‘I know it’s weird but the heart wants what it wants, and I need to be mature about it or I’ll lose her and my family and it’ll all be for nothing.

‘I’m sorry this has happened to you, truly. I love you and that ain’t ever gonna change. Just don’t make this worse than what it already is.’

The Daily Mail has confirmed the authenticity of this text with Lorenzo.
