“THAT’S THE END” – Reuben Owen Sparks Concern After Nervous Confession on Channel 5 Show: Fans Wonder If He’s Quitting for Good

This week’s episode of Reuben Owen’s Channel 5 programme, Life in the Dales, features the young entrepreneur taking up a formidable challenge as part of his birthday festivities.

A teaser for the upcoming episode, which broadcasts on Tuesday evenings, showcases Reuben and his mates embarking on a vintage tractor adventure, wherein he tries to navigate a 60-year-old tractor from the Yorkshire Dales to the coastal town of Whitby.

Yet, things don’t seem to go according to plan. Footage from the show reveals Reuben expressing his apprehension aboard his tractor as he says: “I’m very nervous!”

The clip’s voiceover on the video shared on X details: “The six tractors are all battered veterans, so pushing them flat out up a steep incline puts their aging engines at serious risk of malfunction.”

Amidst tackling the challenging ascent, Reuben’s friends are seen offering words of encouragement to their vehicles reports Leeds Live.

However, as Reuben approaches the climax of their expedition, there’s drama as he alerts to how overheated the tractor is becoming.

The sneak peek continues with a scene of Reuben on the verge of breakdown, with steam billowing from his tractor’s motor by the roadside, and amidst the tension, one friend can’t help but find humour in the predicament.

Concluding the voiceover remarks: “You don’t have to be a mechanic to know that tractors are not supposed to be steaming like the Flying Scotsman.”

In a moment of resignation, Reuben says: “I think that’s the end of my run. So close, so close!”

The Channel 5 star was planning a trip to Whitby to mark his 21st birthday, with his girlfriend Jess arranging balloons and a cake for him, both of which were stowed under the engine of Tommy’s tractor.

On last week’s episode of Reuben’s show, viewers learned about his brother Miles’ medical crisis that necessitated an air ambulance to hospital.

The young lad had developed DKA, diabetic ketoacidosis, a potentially fatal condition caused by insufficient insulin leading to dangerously high levels of ketones in the blood.

Reflecting on the distressing incident, their father Clive confessed: ” I think, probably one of the worst days of my life, I think you could safely say. Scary day.”

Clive recounted how unwell Miles had felt the previous day, allowing him to sleep a bit longer the following morning.

Describing the state he found his son in, Clive continued: “He was laid out on the stairs, halfway down the stairs, couldn’t stand. His head was back, and he was struggling to breathe. You could see there was something majorly wrong here. So, panic stations.”
