Kyle Sandilands was reportedly blindsided after Jackie ‘O’ Henderson made bombshell ‘bullying’ claims about her former co-star.
It was revealed last week that Henderson was complaining about Sandilands to their KIIS radio bosses six months before their relationship blew up in the middle of a live show.
The revelation was laid bare in a statement of claim filed on Henderson’s behalf in the Federal Court amid her civil case against KIIS FM owner ARN Media over the termination of her $100 million contract.
However, a source told News.com.au on Thursday that Sandilands will claim that ARN did not make him aware that Jackie was having difficulty working with him, before their show-ending clash on February 20.
According to the court documents, Henderson started speaking with the head of KIIS network Derek Bargwanna and executive producer Natalie Penfold about Sandilands’ ‘degrading comments’ in mid-2025.
The complaints began on August 20 when Sandilands referred to Henderson’s ‘psycho babble’ and ‘weird psychological bulls***’ and allegedly attacked her personal and dating life during a live broadcast.

It was revealed last week that Henderson (pictured) was complaining about Sandilands to their KIIS radio bosses six months before their relationship blew up in the middle of a live show
However, the publication reported that Kyle will claim he was not provided with any official feedback about the August 20 incident, only learning about Henderson’s complaints through her statement of claim.
‘I think maybe they were afraid or didn’t want to intervene. Who knows?’ the source said.
‘I don’t think it was part of some conspiracy.’
The source added that Kyle was unaware of the extent of Henderson’s anger over the August 20 incident as she never raised it directly with him.
‘Dating was on the table at certain times, and he had no idea [she was still upset] because she did not mention anything directly to Kyle,’ the source said.
They said that Kyle’s comments were all part of his on-air persona.
‘Kyle being like, “I don’t know if you’re going to find anyone,” that is part of the parameters of the segment,’ they claimed.
Despite his shock over Henderson’s claims, the source added there was nothing ‘crazy’ in Henderson’s statement of claim.

However, a source told News Corp on Thursday that Sandilands will claim that ARN did not make him aware that Jackie was having difficulty working with him, before their show-ending clash on February 20
Daily Mail has reached out to representatives of Kyle Sandilands, who declined to comment.
Henderson and Sandilands had an argument on air on September 10, but Henderson claims Sandilands’ comments were censored out.
At 6.23am that morning, Henderson texted Mr Bargwanna, saying ‘I will not be spoken to the way I was (particularly off air)…’
Almost two hours later, Mr Bargwanna texted Henderson to say Sandilands wanted to share his weight loss success with her.
Henderson replied, telling Mr Bargwanna that female listeners were complaining about Sandilands’ behaviour and calling their on-air relationship ‘abusive’.
She also asked that ARN chairman Hamish McLennan and managing director Ciaran Davis be made aware of the situation.
In his response, Mr Bargwanna said he had two conversations about the issue with Mr McLennan and Mr Davis.
Their relationship broke down during their final broadcast on February 20, when Sandilands said Henderson’s ‘fixation’ on astrology made her ‘almost unworkable’ – to the point where she left the studio in tears.

According to the court documents, the broadcaster did not attempt to intervene or stop Sandilands.
The following day, on February 21, Henderson texted CEO Michael Stephenson and chief content officer Kerri Elstub, saying Sandilands’ conduct was ‘unfair, inappropriate and completely unprovoked’.
She also asked whether anything had been put in place ‘around boundaries and expectations moving forward’.
On February 26, Henderson’s lawyers wrote a letter of complaint to Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation – a subsidiary of ARN Media – explaining the broadcaster had been notified about Sandilands’ ‘bullying’.
Henderson also accused the broadcaster of failing to provide a safe work space.
The letter said Henderson ‘could not continue to work with Mr Sandilands’, but that she was willing to continue her contract with a different show.
CBC’s lawyers replied on March 3, saying Henderson’s letter of complaint equated to the termination of her $100 million contract – which she disputes.
Further, Henderson accused the broadcaster of being ‘misleading and deceptive’ by misconstruing her complaint in an ASX announcement.

The revelations was laid bare in a statement of claim filed on Henderson’s behalf in the Federal Court amid her civil case against KIIS FM owner ARN Media over the termination of her $100 million contract
Henderson is claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million, which is the remaining portion of her contract.
She alleged the termination of her contract was a result of her seeking a safe workplace, which was a breach of the Fair Work Act.
She is also seeking payment of a pecuniary penalty plus interest and costs.
Meanwhile, Sandilands is suing ARN separately on different grounds.
He claimed the altercation with Henderson, which led to his dismissal and the axing of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, could not constitute serious misconduct as such behaviour had been encouraged by his employer.
Daily Mail has reached out to ARN for comment.
