POLICE REVEAL DISTURBING NEW DETAILS FROM SCENE WHERE 15-YEAR-OLD JA’DERRIUS MINNIEWEATHER WAS LAST SEEN — FINAL MOMENTS LEFT FAMILY “COMPLETELY BROKEN”

Police in Baton Rouge have disclosed new and disturbing details in the investigation into the disappearance of 15-year-old Ja’Derrius Minnieweather, painting a tragic picture of his final known moments based on arrest documents, witness statements, and forensic evidence.

According to investigators, Ja’Derrius was last seen on June 5 after riding his bicycle to meet a 16-year-old female friend he had known for a long period of time. Authorities say the teenager arrived at a location where the girl was reportedly present with 51-year-old Maurice Parms.

Detectives allege that a confrontation occurred shortly after Ja’Derrius arrived. Witness statements referenced in court documents describe a tall male repeatedly assaulting a smaller individual for several minutes. Witnesses also reported hearing a distressed voice pleading for the attack to stop.

Police say that when they processed the scene, they discovered significant blood evidence in the area. According to investigators, forensic testing later confirmed that the suspected stains contained blood.

Surveillance footage referenced in the arrest warrant allegedly shows Maurice Parms moving through the area after the incident. Investigators claim the footage captured him riding a child’s bicycle and later discarding items including a mask, gloves, and clothing believed to be connected to the scene. Authorities further allege that he later returned to retrieve some of those items.

Detectives also state that Parms’ vehicle became a key focus of the investigation. According to the warrant, blood was allegedly discovered inside multiple areas of the truck, including sections that appeared to have been wiped down.

Based on the evidence collected, investigators believe Ja’Derrius was fatally assaulted at or near the location where he was last seen. Authorities further allege that his body was concealed and possibly transported away from the scene. However, despite extensive searches, his remains have not been recovered.

Police emphasize that these conclusions are based on investigative findings and allegations presented in court documents. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Maurice Parms has since been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the case.

For Ja’Derrius’ family, the latest disclosures have brought overwhelming grief. Relatives describe the emotional toll of learning new details about what investigators believe occurred during the teenager’s final moments, saying they are struggling to come to terms with the loss.

Community members continue to express support and sympathy, as the search for full answers — including the location of Ja’Derrius’ remains — remains ongoing.

Authorities say the investigation is still active, and further updates may follow as the case progresses through the justice system.
