Woman fighting for life after horror crash

 

A major crash on a west Brisbane motorway has left a car mangled and three people in hospital.

Emergency services raced to the Centenary Mwy in Ellen Grove about 10.30am on Monday after reports a car and truck had crashed.

Footage taken by the 7NEWS helicopter shows parts of the car had been torn off during the incident and left scattered across the side of the motorway.

The car was left mangled, with the back almost completely crumpled, and forced off of the road.

Four people were treated at the scene, two of which had to be freed from the wreckage, paramedics told 7NEWS.com.au.

A woman aged in her 40s was rushed to the Princess Alexander Hospital having suffered life-threating injuries.

Two others were also taken to the same hospital in stable conditions, one of which however, had sustained serious injuried.

A fourth person refused transport to hospital.
