POLICE ISSUE MAJOR UPDATE AFTER 74-YEAR-OLD DI-ES FROM ALLEGEDLY VICIOUS STREET ATTACK 💥 MUR-DER INVESTIGATION INTENSIFIES
A man has been charged with murder after a father-of-six who was allegedly assaulted on his morning walk died in hospital.
The 74-year-old was walking when he was allegedly set upon and knocked unconscious in Yennora in Sydney’s south-west on Saturday. He was found on Orchardleigh Street about 4.40am.

He was found by a member of the public while out on a morning walk, and his condition was so serious at the time, he was unable to speak to police.
The man was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, where he underwent surgery for head injuries with his wife and children by his side.
Police were told the man died in hospital on Monday.
Police issued a warrant on Sunday for the arrest of Corum Ash, 45, over the alleged assault.
NSW Police said in a statement on Tuesday morning they had carried out a search warrant on a home in Carlingford and seized several items believed to be linked to the alleged assault.

They confirmed a 45-year-old man, understood to be Ash, had been arrested in Carlingford on an outstanding warrant about 8.30pm on Monday and taken to Parramatta police station.
He was charged with murder and causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder.
Ash was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
