Nikola Jokic doesn’t seem to have a ceiling in the NBA. “The Joker,” a championship winner and three-time Regular Season MVP with the Denver Nuggets, is leading his franchise to another Playoff run with numbers that have earned him a place in the history books.
To be more precise, Jokic contributed 31 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds in the Nuggets’ win over the Houston Rockets—not only securing a direct spot in the Playoffs, but also finishing the Regular Season averaging a triple-double, becoming the first center in NBA history to do so.

The only NBA players who had achieved this feat before were Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook. Interestingly, the latter is currently playing alongside Jokic on the Denver Nuggets and is the one who’s done it the most—four times.
However, despite Jokic’s flawless Regular Season performance, he’s not considered the favorite to win the MVP award. Instead, the frontrunner for the honor is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the 26-year-old Canadian point guard from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
