LeBron James and Stephen Curry
The future of LeBron James in the NBA continues to dominate headlines. Despite his decision to stay one more season with the Los Angeles Lakers, it has now been revealed that three teams have contacted LeBron’s agent in an attempt to snatch the blockbuster trade away from the Golden State Warriors.
LeBron exercised his $52.6 million player option, signaling his intention to remain with the Lakers. However, a statement from Rich Paul, James’ agent, has reopened the door to a potential trade.
Paul said: “We want to evaluate what’s best for LeBron at this stage of his life and career. He wants to maximize every remaining season, and the Lakers understand that, support it, and want the best for him.”
But according to reporter Zach Lowe, James’ true desire is to leave the Los Angeles franchise.
Based on this, Ramona Shelburne and Brian Windhorst of ESPN have reported that several teams are preparing offers to present to the Lakers in hopes of acquiring LeBron James—with the Golden State Warriors being one of the frontrunners.

According to insider Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, four teams have officially contacted Rich Paul to express interest in making a trade with the Lakers for LeBron James. One of them was the Warriors, and the other three? The Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Clippers. Bad news for Stephen Curry!
The Team Favored to Acquire LeBron James
Although LeBron James said, “I still live here and train every summer,” after rumors circulated about him training at the Cavaliers’ practice facility, this team is the favorite to land ‘The King’ if a trade happens. Not only did he debut and play there for eleven years, but he also has a home in Cleveland.
