Bec Zacharia was left ‘blindsided’ and heartbroken on Tuesday’s Married At First Sight, after being brutally dumped by groom Danny Hewitt.

Leading up to the big moment, Bec, 35, revealed that she was ‘all in’ on Danny, 34, admitting that she could not imagine her life without him.

‘I am manifesting that it’s going to be the best day ever,’ Bec said as she made her way to the altar.

‘I’m going to hear exactly what I hope to hear and we run off into the future together.’

Bec added that, despite the hurdles the couple faced during the experiment, her feelings for Danny had only grown.

‘I love Danny. Even though we argue, that doesn’t diminish the feelings I have for him,’ she said.

‘I can’t imagine my life without him now.’

It was a sentiment that Bec shared in her final vows to Danny, telling her groom that he was her ‘safe space.’

‘Daniel, you’re my best friend, my safe space, you make me a better person and you lift me up when I’m down. You’re the kind of man everyone wants in their corner.’

Bec added that she knew Danny was ‘the one’ after getting a ringing endorsement from her family and dog, Coco, during Homestays.

‘My dog Coco loved you from the moment she met you and that told me everything I needed to know about your heart,’ she said.

‘I look at you now and I see the man I want to build a life with. A man who has made me see a future for myself that I didn’t see before.

‘Today, standing here, I’m choosing you and I promise to choose you every day from here on out.’

Continuing his sobering speech, Danny added that he didn't think the 'up and down' nature of their relationship would be a good environment for children

Despite admitting that he had built a connection with Bec during the experiment, her constant involvement in drama proved to be too much.

He also referenced an incident during Homestays where he told a poorly-timed joke about Bec’s cousin Danielle, for which he apologised.

‘But you couldn’t let it go,’ he added. ‘Suddenly, all the good energy from Adelaide disappeared and put major doubts into my head.’

He also took umbrage with her behaviour during the Grass is Greener Challenge.

Continuing his sobering speech, Danny added that he didn’t think the ‘up and down’ nature of their relationship would be a good environment for children.

‘When I think of bringing kids into the world, I want to bring kids into a stable relationship and a stable loving home.’

Adding that the pair’s time apart prior to Final Vows had given him clarity, Danny then delivered the fatal blow.

‘As much as it breaks my heart to say this, I felt a weight come off my shoulders, at a time when I should’ve been missing you,’ he said.

Inconsolable, Bec said that she had been 'blindsided' by Danny's rejection. 'I just didn't think it was going to go this way,' she said. 'I'm shocked'

‘I believe you can have multiple soul mates in life – some who are your best friends and some who are your lovers. Bec, I believe you’re my soulmate as a friend, but I’ve come to realise there’s doubt in my mind if you are my soulmate as a lover.’

Clearly crushed by Danny’s words, Bec offered an ‘Okay,’ as her voice shook and, despite Danny apologising, she added: ‘I don’t think there’s anything more to say.

Bec then walked off and took herself to a quiet spot to break down in tears and Danny, seeing his former bride inconsolable, threw his vows on the ground, before saying: ‘That was f***ing brutal.

In an ironic twist, Danny admitted that he was surprised by the way Bec took the rejection, adding that he would’ve stayed if she’d displayed similar behaviour during the experiment.

‘The way she took it made it actually worse, because she actually took it like such a lady,’ he told a producer.

‘Why couldn’t she have been like that the whole way through the experiment? I’d stay with her.’

Inconsolable, Bec said that she had been ‘blindsided’ by Danny’s rejection.

‘I just didn’t think it was going to go this way,’ she said. ‘I’m shocked.’

Bec then demanded her phone and an immediate flight back to Adelaide.

‘Get me out of here, now!’ she wept, fleeing the scene.
